Template 1: Friendly Reminder (1 day overdue)
Subject: Friendly reminder — Invoice #[NUMBER] is past due
Hi [NAME],
This is a quick reminder that invoice #[NUMBER] for $[AMOUNT] was due on [DATE]. If you've already sent payment, please disregard this message.
Otherwise, we'd appreciate payment at your earliest convenience. [PAYMENT LINK]

Why it works: Assumes the best, gives an easy out if they've already paid, includes a payment link.
Template 2: Firm Follow-Up (7 days overdue)
Subject: Payment overdue — Invoice #[NUMBER], 7 days past due

Our records show that invoice #[NUMBER] for $[AMOUNT] is now 7 days past due (due [DATE]).
Please arrange payment as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the invoice, don't hesitate to reach out.

Why it works: States the facts clearly, opens the door for questions (sometimes invoices are genuinely disputed).
Template 3: Urgent Notice (14 days overdue)

Invoice #[NUMBER] for $[AMOUNT] is now 14 days past due. We've sent previous reminders and have not received payment or a response.

Tips for all reminder emails
- Always include the invoice number and amount — don't make them search for it

- Send from a real person's name, not "noreply@"
- Keep it short — long emails don't get read
